Özet

Örgütlerin varlıklarını koruyabilmeleri ve sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı elde etmelerinin aldıkları stratejik kararlarla yakından ilişkili olması ve iş hayatının önemli bir parçasını oluşturan stratejik karar verme işleminin günümüz dinamik şartlarına bağlı olarak daha karmaşık bir yapıya bürünmesi sezginin karar verme sürecindeki önemini artırmıştır. Buna rağmen sezginin stratejik karar verme sürecine ne şekilde etki ettiği ve ne gibi sonuçlar doğurduğu konusunda gerek nitel gerek nicel çalışmaların sayısı oldukça sınırlı kalmıştır. Buradan yola çıkarak bu çalışmanın amacı sezgi kavramını ana hatlarıyla incelemek; stratejik karar verme sürecinde sezginin etkin bir yönetimsel araç olduğunu teorik olarak sunmak; sezgi kavramına ait öncüllerin stratejik karar verme performansı ve hızı üzerindeki etkisini ve sonuçlarını gösteren kavramsal bir model önermektir. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde epistemolojik bakış açısıyla ele alınmış sezgi kavramının temel özellikleri açıklanmış, ardından stratejik karar verme eyleminin tanımı ve önemine değinilerek sezgi kavramına vurgu yapan çalışmalar kronolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Son olarak yapılan çalışmalardan yola çıkarak kavramsal bir model önerilmiş ve çalışma sonuç ve öneriler kısmıyla tamamlanmıştır.
