Özet

Endüstri devriminden günümüze dek bireylerin istek ve ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak amacıyla sınırlı olan doğal kaynaklar sınırsız bir şekilde tüketilmeye devam edilmektedir. Uzun yıllardır hemen her ortamda üretimin ve tüketimin çevre üzerindeki etkileri dile getirilse de konu üretimin ve tüketimin ekonomik faydası boyutuna geldiğinde yapılması gereken değişiklikler ve düzenlemeler uygulanamamaktadır. Ancak son yıllarda çevresel problemlerin etkilerinin hissedilir boyutlara gelmesi gidişatı değiştirmiş, kaynakların sürdürülebilirliği önem kazanmaya başlamıştır. Bu aşamada, sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanması gereken alanlardan biri de üretimdir. Son zamanlarda sıklıkla kullanılan bir kavram olan Endüstri 4.0 ve teknolojileri, sürdürülebilir üretimi sağlama yollarından biridir. Endüstri 4.0 ile geleceğin akıllı fabrikaları, faaliyetlerin sürdürülebilirliğe uygun şekilde gerçekleştirilebilmesi için farklı teknik ve teknolojiler barındıran bir araç olarak kullanılabilecektir. Bu kavramlardan hareketle bu çalışmanın temel amacı Endüstri 4.0’ın sürdürülebilir üretimde nasıl kullanılabileceğinin ve sağlayabileceği faydaların ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Çalışmada sanayi devrimleri, Endüstri 4.0, sürdürülebilirlik, sürdürülebilir üretim ve Endüstri 4.0’ın sürdürülebilir üretimde nasıl kullanılabileceğinden bahsedilmektedir.
