Abstract
This study aims to determine the digital health and artificial intelligence (AI) literacy levels of healthcare workers in healthcare institutions. The study population consists of healthcare workers from a total of four institutions in the centre of Giresun Province: two training and research hospitals, one state hospital, and the Provincial Health Directorate. Data were collected face-to-face using a simple random sampling method, reaching 372 participants. The data were collected between September 2024 and February 2025. The data collection tools used were the AI Literacy Scale, adapted into Turkish by Polatgil and Güler, and the Digital Health Literacy Scale, adapted into Turkish by Çetin and Gümüş. The research was conducted using the simple random sampling method. IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 software was used for data analysis. Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis techniques were employed in the study. According to the research findings, significant differences were identified in digital health literacy and AI literacy levels of personnel across various demographic variables. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant and positive relationship between digital health literacy and AI literacy. To maximise the benefits of digital health and AI applications in healthcare services, it is essential to equip sector employees with the necessary skills to utilise these applications effectively. The number of research articles in the literature focused on healthcare workers in this field is quite limited; therefore, this study is thought to serve as a reference for those interested in the topic.
