Özet

Varlık yönetimi, varlıklardan değer elde etmek isteyen her işletme için önemli olan ve 2014 yılında yayınlanan ISO 55000 Varlık Yönetim Standart Serileri ile uluslararası standart haline gelen bir alandır. Gelişen teknoloji ile varlıklar yüksek maddi değerlere ulaşmakta ve işletmeler için ciddi yatırımlar oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenle varlıkları tüm yaşam döngüleri boyunca etkin kullanmak, sürdürülebilir işletmeler için zorunluluk haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, varlık yönetimi konusunda kapsamlı bir literatür çalışması yapılarak varlık yönetim standartlarının önemi ve ilgili süreçlerin yönetiminde bilgi teknolojilerinin rolü detaylı olarak tartışılmıştır. Çalışma, varlık yönetiminin ISO 55000 standart serilerinin halen çok yeni olduğu ve Türkiye’de bu standarda sahip sınırlı sayıda firma olduğu göz önüne alındığında, çalışma gerek sistem gerekse bilgi teknolojisi perspektifini aynı anda ele alması bakımından literatüre katkıda bulunmaktadır.
